As part of a Design Thinking Sprint at the University of Newcastle, our team aimed to address the challenges of student attendance and on-campus engagement. Through various design thinking activities, we explored the problem space and identified three core pain points inhibiting regular campus attendance. With a focus on supporting students rather than pressuring them, we developed a mobile app concept that aimed to incentivises active participation in the campus community through rewards and discounts. UONQuest integrates features such as campus navigation and notifications, and a social and cultural platform, providing a practical solution to enhance the campus experience and counter the trend of virtual learning.
